A promotional website is the company's own site organized to be found in searches for each service and to turn each visit into a recorded contact. Busca Orgânica structures this site with one page per service, one per city where there is demand for the service, the Google Business Profile linked to it and tracking of every contact click.
A promotional website is the destination all the channels where the company appears point to: Google search, profiles on marketplaces, social media and directories, and ads all lead to it, and it is where every contact is recorded along with its source. Busca Orgânica is a technology company with a proprietary methodology, headquartered in Guarulhos (SP), and has served more than 700 clients since 2021 (Grupo Orion corporate materials, Sep/2026).
On this page we treat the website as a tool: what it needs to have, how we measure what it generates and how it compares with promoting your business on third-party sites.
What is a promotional website?
At Busca Orgânica, a website is only treated as a promotional website when it passes three tests. First: every service sold has its own address, with copy that answers the search for that service. Second: every city or region where the company actually operates appears with its own content, not just listed in the footer. Third: every click on WhatsApp, phone and forms is counted, so the company knows how many contacts the site generated in the month.
A website that fails all three can look good and still promote nothing, because people searching for the service never reach it. The Google Search Central SEO Starter Guide describes how the search engine finds and understands each page; our job is to organize the site so each page has a clear search to answer.
Promotional website, website design and online promotion: where does each one end?
SEO-optimized website design is the project of building the site, with a start and an end, and that is where we explain the difference between an optimized site and an ordinary corporate site. Online promotion for businesses covers the channels where the brand appears on the internet. A promotional website is defined by its function, not by its construction: it is the landing point for those channels, where every contact is counted on the page where it happened, whether the visit comes from search, from a profile on another platform or from an ad. Building is handled by website design; here we cover only what the site needs to have to fulfill that function.
That is why the question we ask of this type of site is not whether it looks good or is up to date, but how many contacts each page generated in the month and which channel the visit came from. Getting pages to climb in search results and deciding which ones to create next is the ongoing work of our SEO service for businesses.
What the website needs to generate contacts
- One page per service. Each service is a main page, covering what it is, how it works, who it is for, what the price depends on and the most common questions buyers have.
- City pages only where there is demand. We create a city page when Search Console or keyword research shows demand for the service in that city and the company actually operates there. Dozens of pages that only swap the city name fall into the doorway category described in Google Search spam policies.
- Google Business Profile linked to the right page. The profile points to the main service page, with name, address and phone number identical to those on the site. On Busca Orgânica's side, profile maintenance is handled by the Google Business Profile service.
- A short path to contact. WhatsApp button, clickable phone number and short form visible on every service page, without making the visitor look for them.
- External links pointing inward. The marketplace profile, the social media bio link and the directory listing lead to the page for the service each one promotes, not to the home page.
- Technical foundation. Pages that Google can crawl and that load quickly on mobile, checked against the Core Web Vitals metrics.
On sites we take over, the typical flaw in this area is outside the site: the marketplace profile, the social media bio and the directory listing all lead to the home page. People who clicked looking for a service land on the front page, have to find the service again and often give up. The contacts that remain arrive with no source, and the company cannot tell which third-party profile still brings in customers.
Your own website or third-party sites: where to promote?
Business directories, marketplaces and social media also promote, and for many companies they were the first channel. The difference lies in who controls the space and what happens when payment stops or the platform's rules change. The table summarizes how we compare these channels with your own website when we put together a promotion plan.
| Where to promote | Who controls it | Cost | What happens when you stop paying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your own website with SEO | The company: domain, pages and contact data | Website project and SEO work, with no pay-per-click charges | If SEO stops, the pages remain published and indexed; the pace of improvement slows, but the channel does not disappear. |
| Google Business Profile | The company edits it; Google sets the rules and display | Free | There is no payment; the profile depends on up-to-date information and reviews. |
| Business directories and guides | The directory owner | Free listing or paid plan for featured placement | The featured placement ends and the listing goes back to the middle of the list. |
| Marketplaces | The platform: rules, commission and access to the customer | Commission or fee per sale, depending on the platform | The listing goes offline and the sales history stays on the platform. |
| Social media | The platform decides the reach of each post | Posting is free; greater reach depends on boosting | Paid reach ends and the profile goes back to depending on the network's organic reach. |
| Google Ads | The Google Ads auction | Cost per click while the campaign runs | The ad stops appearing when the campaign is paused. |
Your own website does not replace the other channels: it receives traffic from all of them. The marketplace profile, the social media post and the Google Business Profile can point to the same service page, and that is where the contact is measured. Paid media is not a Busca Orgânica service; within Grupo Orion, paid campaigns are run by Mídia & Tráfego.
How we connect external channels to the website, step by step
Page copy, publishing and the search report follow the method of the SEO service mentioned above. What is specific to this area is connecting third-party channels, in this order:
- Inventory of external profiles. We list where the company appears outside the site (marketplaces, social media, directories, Google Business Profile, ads) and which address each link points to today.
- The right destination for each link. Each profile is updated to point to the page for the service it promotes. When that page does not exist yet, it goes on the list of what the site needs to add.
- A source tag on each link. Each address receives UTM parameters with the channel name, so Google Analytics can separate a marketplace visit from a visit that came from search.
- Contact stored with its channel. A click on WhatsApp, phone or form is recorded together with the tag of the profile the visit came from.
- Decision by channel. With contacts separated between organic search and each third-party profile, the company decides which profile is worth keeping, adjusting or closing.
Who benefits most from this website model?
The gain is greatest for companies whose customers research before requesting a quote: service providers, manufacturers that sell to other businesses and businesses that serve by region. In service providers, regional concentration shows up in our portfolio: 52 projects in this group come from the city of São Paulo and 45 from Guarulhos (Busca Orgânica client base, Oct/2026). Service providers and manufacturing have their own pages on our site: SEO and GEO for manufacturing and SEO and GEO for service providers.
This type of website makes less of a difference in three situations, and we say so before any proposal. The first is an impulse-purchase product that almost nobody researches. The second is a sale that happens entirely inside a marketplace that does not let you take the customer elsewhere. The third is a company that cannot handle more orders than it already receives. In these cases, the site is still useful as support, but it should not be where the investment is concentrated.
How much does a promotional website cost?
The price of a promotional website adds up two amounts that we quote separately. The first is what the site is missing to serve as the destination: if service or city pages are missing, that part is quoted as a website design project, with a start and an end, and the price depends on the number of new pages and how much of the current site can be reused. The second is the ongoing SEO and channel-connection work, whose price depends on search competition and how many third-party profiles are included in the count. Without knowing how many channels and pages are involved, there is no way to give a number, which is why there is no list price for this type of site.
In organic search, Busca Orgânica works with a contractual performance guarantee, with targets agreed at the start of the project. For this type of site, those targets are tracked in the same report that shows contacts per page, and what is and is not covered by the commitment is explained in SEO with a performance guarantee.
What does a promotional website that started from scratch look like?
At S Moldes Ferramentaria, which went from no website to an average of 115 contact clicks per month, the 20-year client portfolio came from referrals, and the new website with SEO became the first channel where an unknown buyer could find the tool shop. The figure covers May/2022 to Sep/2026 and comes from tracking every click on the site's contact options.
The before and after we see most often in service companies follow the same pattern. Before: a home page, one services page with every item in a list and a form with no measurement. After: one page for each service, cities with demand on their own pages, the Business Profile pointing to the main page and a report showing, per page, how many contact clicks came in during the month.
